Happy New Year! Here’s hoping everyone has a great 2011. Start yours off in the best way possible by joining us for a New Year’s celebration after a great day on the slopes. The New Year’s Eve torchlight parade is an annual highlight and something to see. At 10:00 ski instructors light up the Mambo trail with torches as they ski down in formation. It’s an awesome site…. and even better – the best view is from our Igloo bar so you don’t even have to put your beer down!
In life, everyone needs change now and then. To dare trying a new sport such as skiing or snowboarding brings a little of spice to our routines. The fun and beauty of being an instructor is that every day, I see people motivated more than everything to learn new things, to surpass themselves and to do their best to take on new challenges. Teaching people who want to share our passion and who are ready to persevere and to improve is a pure pleasure. It can be difficult at the beginning, but if we apply ourselves and work, than everything is possible! The instructors of Mont Blanc, spending time on the mountain every day, very early in the morning, with the smile hung on their lips, are simply passionate persons who are ready to help you. Then dare to try, come to see us, take lessons and you will see… skiing or snowboarding is probably going to charm you.
Mont Blanc was an awesome place to be around during the holidays in December! The skiing was great with tons of snow and the weather was near-perfect with most days just below zero.
Last spring the grounds team created the foundation by chopping down some trees and between the Panda and the Suisse trails on the Faustin side of the mountain. The park now gives boarders and freestyle skiers their own area with plenty of jumps, rails and boxes.
